This year, Social work took a different turn, we visited Children's homes. One of the homes visited was Nyumbani Children's Home. We did different tasks like selecting beans, rice, greengrams and we played with the children. We also visited Mother Teresa's Home for disabled in Huruma - Nairobi which also left a mark on us.
Spruce Up the Home
Ranging from making beds, cleaning bathrooms to mantaining a sitting room, we took great delight in the sessions that were geared to making us more feminine. They took place on 9th February and 1st March and were conducted by Mrs.Nzamu and Miss Muli a lecturer in house keeping in Kibondeni Collenge.
Mid Term Adventure - Climbing Kilimambogo (16th Feb),Mt.Longonot (October)
A new discovery this year! All the club members looked forward to it. We arrived in good time and started the ascent. At first it seemed easy but soon we realised the walk through the bushes was no mean task. It was a 24 kilometer walk. Although some gave up on the way a good number reached the top. We also took up another challenge of climbing Longonot, a crater Mountain located in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. We look forward to the next adventure!
Camps:
