RADIX RADIUS ARCHIVE 2009
STUDY
The Club members took it up with enthusiasm. The revision sessions conducted by the Senior girls came in handy and helped them understand concepts not grasped before. They focused more on Maths, Science, Social studies and Kiswahili. This was really a great help to the Club members.
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
We have a smashing party monthly to celebrate the birthdays of the month. We have great fun and a chance to bond! "Its really nice to celebrate birthday's like this",comments Bella.
Culture! Culture! Culture!
This term, our cultural activities took a new turn.We enjoyed walks through the neighboring estates which was a great chance to bond, we went for swimming and even to enjoy ice cream by the pool side.We also tried out our skills in singing with the Karaoke machine which made us think that we are great singers. We had a Kiswahili book club on some of the days. Our dance club was also kicking throughout the term and on the last day of the term, we had a chance to showcase our dancing skills to our mums and indeed became cultured in a different style.
Social Work
In the year we made several visits to the less fortunate in Kibagare.Towards the end of the year, we adopted a project to help rebuild one of the ladies from the slum, Cucu Susan, a house. We wished we could do more than this!
Mid Term Spree
It was the best break from the busy schedule of school especially with the term moving so fast. The Ngong' Hills was a great challenge and a chance to give a hand to the young ones in the group.
Graduation Dinner
The turn out for this event was overwhelming. Standard 6 were also invited. We started off with a disco where we danced until our legs could not hold us anymore and after which we enjoyed the dinner and had some speeches from the standard 8 graduands and the club staffs.
